Faye June (Bailey) Banks, 76, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away suddenly on October 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born so quickly in Dayton, OH on June 7, 1948 that her mother didn’t make it out of the house to have her. Her feisty personality brought her into the world swiftly and took her home to heaven just as fast. Faye was a devoted wife, Christian, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend whose warm and caring nature touched the lives of everyone she met. She attended Plainview Open Bible Church in New Lebanon, OH for many faithful years.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Francis Bailey, her father and mother in law Cleveland and Carrie Banks, her brothers Bill and Gary Bailey, her brothers in law Junior, Carl, and Jim Banks, as well as her sister in law June Isenhower.
Faye is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Andy Banks. Together, they built a life filled with cherished memories always at each other’s side. She is also survived by her son, Andy Banks (Shana) and her daughter, Stephanie Reynolds (Andrew). While Faye birthed two children, her grandson, Andy Banks (Brooke) and Tina Jordan (Jason), were known as her children as she lovingly raised them as her own. She leaves behind her prized possessions, her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Landon, Payton, Olivia, and countless others that called her Mamaw. Nothing made her happier than spending time with them. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Warrix, brother Phillip Bailey, and sister in laws Mae Fleanor and Mary Myers, as well as countless nieces and nephews.
While Faye worked at GM, her true profession was being a devoted caregiver to all, always putting the needs of others before her own and offering endless support and compassion to her family and friends. Her home was always opened to anyone that needed a place to stay or belong. She kept a spare bedroom to always be ready to assist anyone in need. She helped raise many people over her short 76 years.
A heart full of kindness, Faye will be remembered for her selflessness, her unwavering love for her family, and her dedication to making sure everyone around her felt cared for and appreciated. Her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
