Faye Louise (Benedict) Huffman

Faye Louise (Benedict) Huffman, age 77, of Dayton Ohio peacefully left her earth bound body to eternal heavenly realms on July 31, 2023. Faye was born August 10, 1946, to John and Hettie (Gayman) Benedict in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.

Faye was married to James W. Huffman on July 29, 1967. God blessed their union with seven children. They enjoyed 56 years of life together on the farm near Dayton, Ohio. Mother poured her love for God into her husband, their children, relatives, acquaintances, and community. She will be remembered by her faithful example of servitude, cheer, and compassion. Mother enjoyed her role on the farm, her interest in flowers. In later years, she also enjoyed scenic travels with her husband, and fellowshipping with church family at Dayton Christian Fellowship.

As a young adult, out of high school, she was baptized, committing her life to Jesus Christ, as the Savior of her soul, to Whom she served faithfully all of her days. Mother received anointing for her illness 6 weeks prior to her death. She experienced much comfort and testified of her faith and peace with God as Savior, King, and Father.

She is survived by her dedicated husband, James W Huffman; their children and spouses, Jolene (Ben)Cover of Tuolumne, CA; Denita (Peter) Cover of Tuolumne, CA; Liana (Larry) Cable of Dayton, OH; Philip (Rhoda) Huffman of New Lebanon, OH; Marla (Andrew) Martin of New Madison, OH; Carletta (Allen) Hilty of New Madison, Ohio; Lora Huffman of Dayton, OH; 52 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a very special sister, Wilma Lee; and sister-in-law, Peggy Shearer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hettie (Gayman) Benedict; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Doris Benedict; brother-in-law, Lawrence Lee; brother, John G Benedict; and grandson, Enoch Cover.

Visitation will be held from 2-5pm and 6-8pm on Sunday at Rogers Funeral Home, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345. Funeral service will begin at 10:00am on Monday, August 7th at the Dayton Christian Fellowship Church, 7500 W. Third St., Dayton, Ohio 45417.
