Fayth A. Lawson

Fayth Ann Lawson went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burnley H. Conner and Ethel Myrtle (Johns) Conner, as well as her husband of 54 years, Rev. Charles E Lawson. She is survived by her sons Chuck and Ken; their wives, Linda and Kim; and four grandsons, Jarred, Caleb, Blake and Connor. She is also survived by a brother, Alva Conner, and a sister, Myra Martin Dziadyk. She was a retired Trotwood-Madison City Schools teacher, a pastor’s wife for 52 years and a loving mother. Her husband pastored the Trotwood Grace Brethren Church for 46 years. She taught 3rd grade and developed a love for teaching remedial reading to children and later to adults . She volunteered to teach children struggling to read and often raised them to grade level or above. She wrote a phonics program and gave it away to any teacher or parent who wanted to use it. Fayth taught her grandchildren to read. She taught other family members to read. She looked for the dreams her grandchildren had and tried to fulfill them. She selflessly gave so others could have experiences that were otherwise out of reach. She is reunited with her husband along with many friends and family who have gone on before. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Fayth Lawson lived a life of loving and faithful service. Visitation will be held from 10 am-11 am with funeral service to follow at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the New Bethany for Christ Church, 12 Strader Dr., Trotwood, Ohio 45426.
