Flora Ellis

Ellis, Flora (Bowling) Age 86 of Dayton, oh passed away May 12, 2011 at her home with her family beside her. She was born in Blackey Kentucky on January 27, 1925. Proceeded in death by her parents Roy and Martha (Wagers) Bowling, brother James Bowling, sisters Sarah Collier and Princis Honeycutt, 2 Stepsons James and Billy Ellis. Survived by her husband of 51 years Clarence Ellis, sons Larry, Marion (Mary), Fred (Linda), and Jerry Birt. Daughter Teresa Long. sisters Magdaline, Bernice, May and Fay. Brothers Ray and David Earl,, 26 Grandchildren, 59 Great Grandchildren, 20 Great-Great Grandchildren, Special "Buddy" Sadie Smith and many more family and friends. She was Baptized in Jesus' name and received the Holy Ghost in 1945 while attending Dayton Christ Temple Light Street. In 1981 she was led to Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church where she served as a Missionary for over 20 years, the women's choir and hostess committee. Mother Flora Ellis will be deeply missed by many. A Homegoing service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday May 19, 2011 at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church, 3241 Denlinger Rd. Dayton, OH 45406, with Pastor Elder Ernest Scales officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Rogers’ Funeral Home, Trotwood.
