Forrest R. "Bud" Phelps, Jr.

PHELPS, Forrest R., Jr. “Bud” Age 83 of Moraine, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. He was born in New Lebanon, Ohio on October 19, 1938 to his parents, Forrest R. Phelps, Sr. & Genevieve (Hoover) Phelps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons Robert & Thomas Phelps. Bud is survived by his fiancé, Brandy Warner and her children, Kalista Sturgill and Thomas Warner; brother, Darrell Phelps; and his loving church family. Bud retired from the from Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. He was former police Chief of Perry Township and an officer for New Lebanon, German Township, Brookville, and Germantown during his career. Bud had a love for dogs, ham radio, and aviation. Bud was an active church member at the Germantown Church of the Nazarene for many years and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held from 10-11am with funeral service to follow at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Germantown Church of the Nazarene, 8140 S. Butler St., Germantown, Ohio 45327. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in W. Alexandria.
