They had one daughter, Elinor Frances Kimmel Wright, married to Carlton Wayne Wright. Then later had 2 sons, Hobart Dale and Charles Edward Kimmel, who both died following their birth. Mother always loved Carlton as her own son, and at times she called him "my favorite!" She enjoyed two grandchildren, a grandson Randal Wayne Wright and his wife Heather, and a granddaughter, Rhonda Janes and her husband Stephen. She also had great delight in her three great-grandsons, Andrew Wright and his wife Chloe, Maxwell Wright, and Jubal Janes. Her boys were her joy!! She enjoyed knowing about one great-great grandchild, but never actually got to meet him, Theodore James Wright. Others left to mourn her passing are, one sister-in-law, Frances Jamison Rutrough of Franklin County, wife of her brother James, along with 6 nephews and 6 nieces. Mother was always very involved in helping neighbors, friends and folks from the church. She along with her husband were janitors at the Stillwater Church for many years. She had a home -based business of sewing and catering for weddings. And later in life was an instructor of drapery making at night school in Kettering, Ohio. She loved to sew and was able to make anything. She was a gardener and was very successful in growing plants and flowers. She was very thrifty and in earlier years loved going to yard sales and finding bargains. She moved to Roanoke, Virginia in 2012 to be near her daughter and family as she required more care. In 2017, she moved to Carrington Place nursing center where she received extra care due to declining health. Her friends from the Shenandoah Old German Baptist District and her family were always faithful to visit and help meet all her needs. We would like to thank all of them for their kindness to her, also all the friends that she left behind at the Stillwater Church in Ohio. We would also like to thank all the staff of Carrington Place for the tender care they provided for her there. Mother suffered with glaucoma in her eyes, and was blind at the end of her life. Now she has transported to her new home, her new body and now is able to walk and to see!!! We love you Mom, Your loving family. Services will be private in Roanoke.
