Gary L. Groff

GROFF, Gary L. Age 61, of New Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly after a hard fought battle with heart disease on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016. Gary was born on June 22, 1955 in Dayton to the late, Carroll & Pauline (Doss) Groff. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Randy Groff; and uncles, Paul and Bob Doss. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Brenda; children, Zachary, Brian (Karen), Heather (Chris) Smith, Michael (Jenny), and Gary, Jr.; 11grandchildren, Zoey, Stephanie, Kylie, Haelee, Courtney, Mikey, Allen, Amara, Abigail, Emily, and Tiffany; 2 great-grandchildren, Pyper and Kaylee; also, siblings, Sharon (Charles) Lane, Carroll Jr (Donna), Jill (Larry) Adkins, Rick (Margie), and Lora (John) Cornett. Gary loved his family dearly. He enjoyed working on cars and buses and loved boating on Brookville Lake. Gary also took pleasure in giving to those in need. Visitation will be Sunday December 4 from 5pm to 7pm at Plainview Open Bible Church, 1488 Johnsville-Brookville Rd, New Lebanon, 45345. The Funeral Service will be Monday December 5 at 12pm at the church with Pastors Joshua Grimes and Matthew Windham officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood.
