Gary Swisher

Gary Swisher, born on July 29, 1950, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 55 years, Brenda (King) Swisher. Together, they built a family that includes their daughter, Jennifer Fohl, and son, Gary Jr.

Gary proudly graduated from Trotwood High School and spent many fulfilling years working as a pressman at the Dayton Daily News before he retired. He had a passion for old cars and motorcycles, which he enjoyed restoring in his spare time. In addition to his love for vehicles, Gary cherished the great outdoors and loved camping with his family.

He was a valued member of Grace Baptist Church, where he found community and fellowship.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Swisher, as well as his son, Gregory Swisher, and his brother, Jimmy Swisher. He is also survived by his brother, Dale (Shelli) Swisher, and his sister, Marian (Ron) Stambough; daugher-in-law, Tammy; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Gary will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to family, and his joyful spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
