Gene Brown

BROWN, Gene (ATTENTION! West Main St. will be closed from 12:00 to 1:00 pm for the New Lebanon Stagecoach days parade. The service has been postponed to 1:30. It would be a good idea to arrive between 11:00-12:00 or 1:00 -1:30.) Age 69, of Farmersville, passed away unexpectedly at his home. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Odell Brown, and two special cousins, Ronnie and Wayne Grant. He is survived by a special uncle and aunt, Morrison and Ollie Brown; cousins, Don (Pat) Grant, Brenda Grant, Ginale (Gary) Turner, Ty Grant, Mary (Dean) Berger, Vickie (Danny) Brown, Rebekah Walters; special cousin and caregiver, Lil' Odell Williams; Best friends, Randy (Cathy) Brown and Craig (Christy) Blank; Gary Lake, Ron English, and many other family and friends. Gene retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association and an Ohio State Trapshooting Doubles Champion. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA and the Ohio Gun Collectors Association, a loyal UD basketball fan as well as John Wayne, and Elvis fan. He always enjoyed the service, food and company of those at The Dixie Diner and K's Restaurant. The family will receive friends from 11AM to 1:30PM, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon. The Funeral Service will begin at 1PM at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial will follow the service at Royal Oaks Memorial Gardens.
