George E. Kier

K IER, George E. Age 85, of New Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents; George Henry and Polly Ella Kier; wives, Cloma and Martha; brother, Chester Leroy; and sister, Grace Evelyn. George is survived by daughter, Joyce (Bob) Stackhouse of Crossville TN; son, Raymond (Della) Wampler of Clayton; daughter, Connie (John Davenport) Asher of Trenton; son, Roger (Dixie) Kier of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Jeremy Kidd, Joshua and Madeline Wampler, Derek and Krista Asher; and great-grandchildren, Landon Kidd and Bryson and Jaiden Asher. He was a history buff, enjoyed spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains, and was a fan of John Wayne and Johnny Cash. George was a member of the Eaton First Church of God and served our country in the Army during WWII. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM on Friday, February 1 at Eaton First Church of God, 601 E Lexington Rd, Eaton, OH 45320 with the Funeral Service beginning at 2PM. Burial will follow at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon.
