PERRETTA, George F. Age 84, of Dayton, passed away at Hospice of Dayton, on Friday, August 15, 2014. George was born in Utica, NY on March 6, 1930 to the late Victor F. Perretta and Anna (Lowery) Countryman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, JoAnn Perretta; daughter, Pamela Perretta; sister, Mary Ann Perretta-Pilawa; step-mother, Catherine Perretta; step-father, Raymond Countryman; and aunt, Margaret Lowery. George is survived by his sister, Francis and Donald Leo of Utica, NY and brother, Jack and Linda Countryman of NY. He also survived by his son, Philip and Joanna Perretta of Huber Heights; daughter, Patricia and Stephen Brun of Butler Township; son, Peter Perretta of Arcanum; daughter, Gina and Daryl Rider of Cincinnati; and daughter, Angela and Michael Brinkman of Ft. Mitchell, KY. Survivors also include his grandchildren, Shawn Clemmons, Steve and Danni Brun, Matt and Melanie Brun, Damien and Amanda Clemmons, Rachel, Philip "PJ", Teresa, Peter II, and Anthony Perretta, Kelly Michaud, Christina and Eric Troidl, Emmitt and Olivia Rider, and Benjamin and Joel Brinkman; great-grandchildren, Dominick, Kestine, Seraina, Lillian, Noah, Lucas, and Abigail; and many loving nieces, nephews, and close friends. George was a long-time resident of Trotwood, a member and past president of the Trotwood Optimist Club, past president and coach of the Trotwood Boys Baseball Club, and a long time parishioner of Precious Blood Catholic Church. He retired from Cleanergy and was employed at VanDyne Crotty for a long time, and was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force. The family will receive friends at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, 110 W. Main Street, Trotwood from 6PM to 8PM on Monday, August 18, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 4961 Salem Avenue, Dayton at 10:30AM with Father Jim Seibert, C.PP.S. presiding. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. If desired, donations can be made in George's memory to Hospice of Dayton or Catholic Social Services.
