Geraldine Stewart Neal

November 2, 1923 — June 15, 2020

NEAL, Geraldine Stewart Age 96 of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2020. She was born November 2, 1923, to Ewel and Laura Stewart in Danville, Kentucky, and reared by her uncle and aunt, John and Margaret Stewart in Sunbright, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold E. Nelson, and by second husband, Delbert Neal and her beloved son, Charles E. Nelson. “Jerry” would say her happiest times were working in Central Directory at the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, during World War II, rearing her children, and her fellowship at the New Lebanon Brethren Church. “Jerry” is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Terry Blosser, grandchildren, Ryan Nelson (Lisa), Heather Hibberd (Mark), Beth Duvall (Byron), Allison Nickerson (Emery), ten great-grandchildren, and one great-grandson, daughter-in-law, Neysa Shannon (Bob), dear cousins, Stewart and Virginia Wright, devoted friends, Judy Clymer, Helen Novak, Brenda Linville and the New Lebanon Brethren Church family. Our heartfelt thanks to the Butler House Staff of Countryside Living Elderly Home Care for their love and care of Jerry for five and a half years, Day City Hospice Staff, and all those who visited, called or sent cards. A graveside service will be held 11:30 AM on Friday, June 19th at Trissel Cemetery on South Diamond Mill Road in New Lebanon. Pastor Kyle Wardlaw officiating. The family prefers that visitors wear masks and practice social distancing for the safety of all who attend. If desired, donations may be made to the New Lebanon Brethren Church, 32 S. Church St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345, in memory of Jerry. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
