Gilbert E. "Gil" Saul

SAUL, GILBERT E. "Gil" Age 77, of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 22, 2012. He was born September 20, 1935 in Jefferson Township to the late, Calvin and Laura Saul. Preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Renzi and Paul (Phyllis) Saul. Gil is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy; son, Michael; step-daughter, Sherry (Chip) Smith; 2 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bernice; numerous nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends. After graduating from Jefferson Township High School in 1953, he was employed at GM where he retired. Gil was a member of the Masonic Lodge #482, Scottish Rites Mason, and Eastern Star Lodge #155. Camping gave him much joy in life and he belonged to several camping clubs, including the Dixie Pathfinders, NCT, and the Coachman Club. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 26 at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon, from 5-7PM. A Masonic Service, Scottish Rites Ring Service, and Eastern Star Service will begin at 7PM. The Funeral Service will be at 10:30AM at the funeral home with Pastor Ty Blake officiating. Burial will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Gil to Crossroads Hospice, 8069 Washington Village Dr., Dayton, OH 45458.
