Gladys Carnes

CARNES, Gladys (Simpson) Age 96 of New Lebanon, Ohio passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at her beloved home. She was born June 16, 1919 in Walker, Kentucky. Along with her parents and five siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo in 1981. She was loved and survived by her children, Randall and Judy Carnes, Jeweldine Gunter, and Rudolph and Carol Carnes along with her grandchildren Kim, Damon, Alec, Dawn, Robb, Rudy, Travis, Vince and their families, which includes 20 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Mable Simpson. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Rogers’ Funeral Home, 324 West Main St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345, followed by burial at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 North Dixie Dr., Dayton, Ohio 45414. The family will receive friends for visitation an hour before the service from 11am-12pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
