THOMPSON, Harley
Age 83 of Drexel, passed away on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 7, 1939 to his parents, John Thompson and Helen Thorpe-Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Jessie; life-long partner, Wanda Phillips; grandson, Harley Fitzgerald; great granddaughter, Ariana Onesko; son-in-law, Gary Groff; sisters, Charlotte, Nellie Jo and Virginia; and brothers, Jim (Betty), Bill (Christine), and Dale (Gladys) Thompson.
Harley is survived by daughters, Brenda Groff, Sandra (Bob) Dalton, Carla Thompson, Linda (Laymon) Miller, Carol Thompson, Kellie Phipps; step-daughters, Rita Heys, and Renee (Andrew Rucker) Tomlinson; also, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Harley was a horse trader, tow truck driver, and was well known as the lawn mower guy.
Visitation will be held from 12-1pm with service to begin at 1:00pm on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022 at Rogers Funeral Home New Lebanon. Burial will take place at Sugar Grove Cemetery in W. Alexandria. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
Harley’s service will combined with his longtime partner, Wanda Phillips. We will be visiting 2 different cemeteries in procession following the service at the funeral home.
