Helen E. Puterbaugh

PUTERBAUGH, Helen Emma Age 89 of Brookville, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at New Lebanon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Helen was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 16, 1923 to her parents John and Irene (Halda) Prikkel whom both precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Glenn W. Puterbaugh, Sr. in 2007. Helen is survived by her two daughters, Jane (Scott) Francis of Clayton, and Marianne (Daniel) Wogoman of Trotwood; a son, Glenn (Mary Ann) Puterbaugh, Jr. of New Lebanon; two granddaughters, Cynthia H. Stafford, and Nikki R. Wogoman; special friends, Alan and Becky Fitzgerald; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Helen was a 1941 graduate of Northridge High School and a longtime member of Antioch United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed quilting, cooking, antiquing, and gardening. She was also an avid lover of animals which include her many pets over the years. A celebration of Helen's life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Rogers' Funeral Home in Trotwood with Pastor Angela Meeks officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM and also from 10:30-11:00 AM Thursday. If desired, donations may be made to Antioch United Methodist Church and/or Crossroads Hospice.
