Herbert "Herb" L. Tobias

Herbert "Herb" L. Tobias, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 7, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 88. Born on February 11, 1937, in New Lebanon, Herb lived a life dedicated to his faith and family.

Herb was known for his strong love for the Lord, his devoted affection for his wife, Jane Tobias, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years, and his commitment to his family. He was a member of the church choir, where he found joy in singing for his community and expressing his love for God.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane, and their children: Marie (Terry) Enderle, Herb Tobias II, Kathy (Scott) Owens, and Beth (Jeff) Boland. He cherished his sisters, Shirley and Helen, and took pride in his grandchildren, including Kelly Dolan, Ryan Sink, Nate Sink, Joe Tobias, Amanda Gwinn, and Terry Enderle Jr., along with many loving great-grandchildren who brought him much joy.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie Tobias, two brothers, Joe and John, a loving daughter-in-law, Jeanna, and a granddaughter, Amber Enderle.

Herb built a life centered on faith and family, leaving behind a legacy of love that will resonate for generations to come. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on December 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Homes, located at 324 W Main St, New Lebanon, OH 45345. A funeral service will follow on December 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the New Lebanon Brethren Church, situated at 32 South Church Street, New Lebanon, OH 45345.
