Herman Eugene "Gene" Thompson

THOMPSON, Herman Eugene “Gene” Age 74 of New Lebanon, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 2, 1943 in Knoxville, TN to his parents, Herman T. & Stella M. (Nance) Thompson who have preceded him in death along with his sister, Brenda Grant; and brother, James “Jimmy” Thompson. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol Thompson; daughter, Denise McTeer; 2 sons, Thomas Eugene “Tommy” Thompson, and Rob (Jessica) Thompson; 6 grandchildren, Kyle, Justin, Faith (Marcus), Jeannie, Dillon, and Logan; 4 great-grandchildren, Cheyanne, Hailey, Colton, and Layla; and 1 brother, Johnnie Thompson. Gene was self-employed as a Tile Setter. He enjoyed Field Trial Racing and spending time with this family. A graveside service will begin at 2:30pm on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, 7217 National Rd., Brookville, Ohio 45309.
