Hester S. Copeland

COPELAND, Hester S. Age 90, of Carlisle, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 23, 2015. She was born on July 20, 1925 in Marion, Tennessee. Hester had an unwavering faith in God, and dedicated her life to the Lord and her family. She was a member of the Greenview Calvary Tabernacle, where, over the years, she enjoyed helping with numerous fundraising events. She was a loving mother and grandmother and spending time with her family was one of her greatest passions. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ridley Lee Copeland, Sr.; sons, James Copeland and Rick Copeland; 3 brothers, Arville, Arthur, and Joe; and 3 sisters, Martha, Orphine, and Goldie. Hester is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joann Copeland of Grey, KY; daughter, E.J. Howard of New Lebanon; son, Ridley Lee Jr. (Rebecca) of Brookville; daughter, Carolyn Jones of Franklin; daughter-in-law, Jill Copeland of Carlisle; and son, Dan (Lorie) Copeland of New Lebanon. Hester was blessed to have 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 28 from 11AM to 1PM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, New Lebanon. The Funeral Service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Tim Livingston officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood.
