Howard V. Schwabe

SCHWABE, Howard V. Age 86, of Beavercreek, Ohio, died January 12, 2015. Howard was born on December 30, 1928 to William R. and Lillian A. (Briesch) in Dayton, Ohio Howard graduated from Cooperative High School in 1946 and worked as a Toolmaker at Delco Products for 42 years. In 1955, Howard married his best friend, Betty Lou Weimer, who preceded Howard in death in 2002. Howard was an active member at Bear Creek Church of the Brethren, where he was a deacon and treasurer of the love fund. Howard loved spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed participating in sports, especially bowling and golf. In addition to Betty and his parents, Howard was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth and Virginia Schwabe, brother, Robert Schwabe, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Francis Yost, brother-in-law, Eugene Weimer, and nephew, Steven Yost. Howard is survived by his sons, William H. Schwabe (Kim), and Richard A. Schwabe (Robin), grandchildren, Ben, Ryan, Jenna, Eliza, and Emma, sister-in-laws, Marianna Schwabe and Luann Weimer, numerous nieces, nephews, special friends and relatives. Howard will be missed greatly and remembered for his sense of humor, kindness and loving heart. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at Rogers’ Funeral Home in New Lebanon. There will also be a visitation at Bear Creek Church of the Brethren on Wednesday, Jan 21 from 10-11 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Pastor Rob Raker will be officiating.
