Imo M. Cabaniss

CABANISS, Imo M. (Eck) Age 103, of Eaton, formerly of New Lebanon, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012. Imo was born February 24, 1909 in Perry Township to the late, George W. and Myrtle Eck. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 54 years, Bill; and sisters, Mary Eck, Hazel Root, and Ruby Jones. Imo is survived by nephew, Richard (Judy) Jones; nieces, Mary Jane Moyer and Susan Albrecht; many great nieces and nephews; and special friend, Mary Lou McGinnis. After graduating from Dixie High School in 1927, Imo went on to work at McCall's and retired after 42 years of service, and was a member of Eversole Church of the Brethren. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 10 from 12:30 to 2PM at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, New Lebanon. The Funeral Service will begin at 2PM with Pastor Mark Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Imo to Eversole Church of the Brethren.
