DEARTH, Jackie (Jack) Louis 84, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 after an extended illness. He was born in Clayton, OH on April 8, 1932. He was a long-time resident of New Lebanon, OH, also residing in Lady Lake, FL from 1991-2014. He retired from NCR in 1973 and from the Inland GM plant in 1991. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Stern and Esther Dearth, and nine siblings. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie June (Sprowl); Sister Dorothy Mikesell; sons Michael (Carol), Mark, and Douglas (Teresa); grandchildren: Jennifer Jung (Chon), Joshua (Jennifer), Ashley, Matthew and Amanda; great-grandchildren: Jared, Caleb, Lainey and Noah, along with several nieces and nephews. He attended Union Pentecostal Church in Dayton, Ohio. Viewing will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm with a memorial service immediately following. Pastor Clifford Hurst will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in honor of Jack Dearth to the Hospice of Dayton Foundation, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
