ADAMS, James H. “Jim” III It is with great heartbreak that the family of James H. “Jim” Adams, III announce his passing. Jim was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 16, 1958 and passed on August 20, 2020. Jim attended Dixie High School. Just prior to graduation in 1977 Jim was involved in an accident which caused quadriplegia, forever changing his life. With God’s strength and a never say quit attitude, he went onto attend Wright State University where he earned his degree in accounting. He was then employed by Tokodi Orthopedics as a managerial accountant for 24 years. Jim always was an exceptional athlete, and continued that enjoyment through watching his nieces and nephews play sports. His greatest joy was coaching his son in basketball, and cheering him on during baseball and track season. Jim loved the Lord, his family, and friends. He was well known for his humor & wit. Jim always gave God thanks for every blessing in his life, with his greatest love being his wife, Sharon, and his son, Mitchell. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James H. Adams, Jr. & Helen R. (Clinard) Adams. He is survived by his wife, Sharon L. (South) Adams; son, Mitchell J. Adams; sisters, Barbara (Adams) Harshbarger and Chyrl (George) Tokodi; brothers, Stephen Adams and Mark (Julie) Adams; mother-in-law, Yvonne L. Gaiser; mother-in-law, Nancy South; and sister-in-law, Melissa L. (Clyde) Partin. Jim also leaves behind nieces & nephews, great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Also, Teddy Tackett whom Jim loved as a brother. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Jim. A memorial visitation will be held from 11am-12pm with memorial service to follow at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 335 S. Church St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345.
