AVERY, James D. "Jim" 82, of New Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, May 20, 2012. Jim was born February 25, 1930 in Darke County to the late Clarence and Mary Avery. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diana Denlinger; sister, Alma (Byron) Denlinger; brothers, Kenneth (Doris) and Harold; and brother-in-law, Luther Marconett. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty; daughters, Peggy (Gary) Sattelmeyer and Dixie (Mike) Denlinger; son-in-law, Lowell Denlinger; two granddaughters; three grandsons; nine great grandchildren; sister, Mildred Marconett; and many more family and friends. Jim worked his entire adult life as mechanic at Walker Motor Sales, Peffley Ford, and F and M Contractors. The family will receive friends from 2-5PM and 6-8PM Tuesday, May 22 at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon. The funeral service will start at 10AM at the Wolf Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church-Brookville, with the home brethren officiating. Burial will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the Miami Valley Literacy Council, 18 W. First St., Dayton, 45402.
