James H. Cass

CASS, James H. Age 64 of Dayton, passed away peacefully at this home on Saturday, January 22, 2022. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 5, 1957 to his parents, James & Wilma Cass who have preceded him in death. James is survived by his son, Sean (Tina) Cass; daughter, Michelle (Brian) Clouse; grandchildren, Brooklyn Cass, and Brayden, Maddison, and Lydia Clouse; as well as many special friends. James served with the Montgomery County Sherriff’s Department for 20 years. He took his job very seriously as a Deputy Sherriff and a special task force Detective. During his career he was awarded “Deputy of the Year” twice. James was a very caring person who never met a stranger and would take the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He loved his family and his dogs but his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be dearly missed. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-3pm with memorial service to follow at 3:00pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Trinity Lighthouse Church, 4701 Frederick Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45414.
