James W. "Jimmy" Clayton, Sr., age 74, of West Alexandria, Ohio, passed away on December 11, 2025. He was born on June 5, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio. Jimmy will be remembered for his love of fishing, which was his favorite hobby, along with bowling, vegetable gardening, canning, and horseback riding in his younger years.
He graduated from Dixie High School in 1971 and dedicated many years to his career at General Motors before retiring.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Marty Jones) Warner; son, James (Ruthanna) Clayton, Jr.; loving partner, Betty Kelly; siblings, Tom Clayton, Nancy (Donald) Back, Bobby (Jenny) Clayton, and Madonna Kettler; grandchildren, Zachary, Nathaniel, Christian (Diamond), Averi, and Cayson; as well as two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Clayton; mother, Pauline Clayton; and his maternal grandparents, Lula and Thomas Pitts.
A visitation for Jimmy will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with funeral service to begin 1:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Homes, located at 324 W Main St, New Lebanon, OH. Entombment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
