James Edward Deschler
Age 90 of West Alexandria, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 7, 1935 to his mother, Lerena May (Phillips) Deschler, and father, Joseph Harold Deschler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving partner, Janice Bennett; and 2 siblings, Mary Deschler and Robert Deschler.
James is survived by his son, Daniel David Deschler; grandsons, Anthony (Brittney) Deschler, and Jeremy (Ashley) Deschler; great grandson, Jase Deschler; great granddaughter, Kayla Pietrantonio; step-son, Michael (Faye) Saul; special cousin, David Allen Phillips. He is also survived by 5 siblings, Joseph Deschler Jr., William Deschler, Fredrick Deschler, Margaret Campos, and Helen Deschler; his partner Janice’s children, Timothy (Sharon) Ward, Mark Douglas Ward, Cathy (James) Alfrey, Karen Kaye Ebert, and Jennifer Eddy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
James graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1953. He worked at Inland Manufacturing Div. GMC for 32 years, as well as the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office, and the Butler Township Zoning Officer. He was also a member of the Jefferson Township Fire/Rescue Department and Box 21 Rescue.
A Memorial visitation will be held from 5-7pm with Memorial service to begin at 7:00pm on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Rogers Funeral Home New Lebanon. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
