James R. Fry, Sr.

FRY, James R., Sr. Age 88, passed away on October 21, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ben and Maude Fry; loving wife of 60 years, Rosella; sister, Catherine Messina; 3 brothers, Robert, William, and Ned; sister-in-law, Margeret Fry; and brother-in-law, Fred Messina. Survived by 3 children, Cheryl Montgomery, James Jr. (Helen), and Kim (Tim) Hamblin; 6 grandchildren, Nichole Pease (Chet), Jonathan Korns (Erica), Jason Blevins (Shannon), Stephanie Ingram (Justin), Michael Fry (Chelsi), and Mark Fry (Mallory); 5 great grandchildren, Tabitha, Rosemary, Emilie, Jacob, Collin, and Lina; great-great grandson, Levi; special friends, Erma Evilsizor, Scott Montgomery, and Dave Korns; and many more nieces, nephews, and friends. He was a WWII veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Army, a Trotwood fireman for 23 years, and worked at Whites Baking Company for 16 years, and retired from Rikes after 25 years of service, and Meijer’s after 15 years of service. The family will receive friends from 4PM to 6PM on Sunday, October 26 at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, 110 W. Main St., Trotwood, 45426. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:30AM on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor John Gilmore officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
