Hamblin, James R. Age 56 of New Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. He was born on September 7, 1962 in Dayton, OH to Roy & Wanda (Hall) Hamblin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Madelon, Michael, Rhonda and Regina Hamblin and Mary Farrow; and one of his dogs, Tank. James is survived by his loving wife, Susan Hamblin; son, James Aaron (Jenny) Hamblin; daughter, Brekke (Nate) Beck; granddaughter, Maryn Hamblin; seven siblings, Danny (Carla) Hamblin, Annette Stewart, David Hamblin, Kristi (John) Mitchell, Joseph (Barb) Hamblin, Amy Hamblin and Lisa Hamblin; and numerous other extended family members and friends. James graduated from Dixie High School in 1980 and subsequently took classes in Commercial Art and Game Development at JVS and Edison State. An avid artist, James reveled in sculpting and illustration and created many stunning figurines, carvings, ceramics, games and toys. He also had a knack for home improvement projects and often shared his talents with family and friends. James loved his family fiercely, including his spoiled dogs. However, his greatest love in life was his granddaughter, Maryn.
