James "Jim" Lewis of Kettering, Ohio was born on June 19, 1948, in Lynnbrook, New York. He passed away on April 8, 2026, in Fairfield, Ohio, at the age of 77.

Jim spent most of his working life in Industrial Maintenance. In his younger years, he served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He enjoyed amateur radio, volunteering, and off-roading.

Jim is survived by his two sons, Steven (Jenn) Lewis and Dan (Elisa) Lewis, his sister Diane, and his brothers Don and John. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Ingrid, Vanessa, Samuel, and Anna. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morton and Ethel (James) Lewis.
