SMITH, James J., Jr. Age 74 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 2, 1946 to his parents, James & Gloria (Maxie) Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Jimmy Smith; 2 brothers, Bobby and John Smith; and sister, Debbie Barnhart. James is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Frances M. (Brown) Smith; daughter, France S. (Mark) Disher; son, David Smith; grandson, Vaughn I. Disher; siblings David Smith; Suzi Hoke, and Michael “Danny” Smith. James had a love for antique automobiles. He enjoyed gardening and living a simple life. He will be missed. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM with funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Rogers Funeral Home, 324 West Main St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345.
