James Elton Wilcox, Sr.

April 30, 1932 — June 12, 2019

WILCOX, James Elton, Sr. Age 87 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019. He was born on April 30, 1932 in North Harmony, NY to his parents, George & Opal (Bunch) Wilcox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Wilcox; great-grandson, Douglas Crickmore, Jr.; and son-in-law, Jack Lee Tuvell. James is survived by his son, James Wilcox, Jr.; 3 daughters, Regina (John) Crickmore, Katherine Tuvell; and Helen (Keith) Wilcox-Werling; also brothers, John Wilcox, Robert Wilcox, and David Davis; sister, Betty Jane Moore; 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and other extended family and friends. James was a proud veteran of the U.S. Airforce and retired after 20 years of service. He enjoyed camping and playing the harmonica. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held from 9:30am-10:30am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30am on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow Mass at 1:00 PM at Dayton National Cemetery. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
