Jean C. Ney

Jean C. Ney, passed away on November 12, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. She was born on November 4, 1933, in Jefferson Township, Ohio, to Virgil and Eva (Brelsford) Ney.

Jean was known for her passion as an avid reader, with books being her favorite hobby. Her love for literature was matched only by her dedication to her faith, being very active in the Liberty United Methodist Church. Not only did she enjoy spending time with her family and friends, but she also had a lively spirit when it came to sports. She was a devoted fan of Ohio State football and the Cincinnati Reds baseball team, and she appreciated watching tennis, showcasing her love for various athletic endeavors.

Professionally, Jean contributed to her community through her work at Rike's Department Store, where she forged many lasting relationships.

Jean is survived by her brothers, Gerald "Jerry" Ney (Donna) and Don Ney (Carole), as well as six nephews, Rick A. Ney, Rand A. Ney, Brett L. Ney, Todd L. Ney, Scott R. Ney, and Brandon S. Ney. She leaves behind numerous great nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

Jean is preceded in death by her father, Virgil Ney; her mother, Eva Ney; and her brother, J.D. Ney.

Visitation will be held on November 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Homes, located at 324 W Main St, New Lebanon, OH 45345. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Holp Cemetery.
