Jeanette I. Mcneal

McNeal, Jeanette I. Age 91, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at Brookhaven Nursing Home. She was born in Arcanum, the daughter of the late Harry and Belle (Stryker) Kester. A 60 year resident of Trotwood, Jeanette retired after 28 years in the TMHS cafeteria where she became manager of the Central Food Service. Jeanette was an enthusiastic supporter of local athletics; Trotwood Rams, Dayton Flyers, and OSU Buckeyes. She enjoyed playing cards at the Grange, Senior Citizens, and with her friends and family. Jeanette also served as a deacon for the Trotwood United Church of Christ and supported its many Christian activities. Preceded in death by her husband, Bob, in 1971; her brother, Ray, in 1986; her twin brother, Gus, in 2002; and most of her dear friends. She was the beloved mother of Sue (Mike) Kendinger of Savannah, GA., and Barbara (Bob) Bostrom of Ellenton, FL; proud grandmother of Shawn (Jackie) Kendinger, Marti (Todd) Phelan, and Lauren (Dave) Feehrer, and doting great-grandmother of Lily, Ian, Nolan, Kaylee, Molly, Lucas & his baby brother on the way. Jeanette can now rejoin those loved ones who have preceded her but will be missed by all those that she leaves behind. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Tuesday evening at Rogers' Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Trotwood, Ohio 45426. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 19, 2013 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Abbotsville Cemetery in Arcanum. If desired, donations may be made to the Trotwood United Church of Christ or Hospice of Dayton.
