Jennifer 'Jenni' Kaye Eder passed away peacefully on February 7th 2026 at the age of 66 while residing at the Gem City Rehab under the care of Sanctuary of Hospice.
Jenni was the third child, and second daughter born to Richard (Dick) Lee Roy Eder and Janice Irma Eder (nee Greene) November 3rd 1959 in Dayton Ohio at Grandview hospital.
She graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1978 and went to Universal Technology with Wright Patt.
She was a part of the National Guard before having an eclectic life of working at Domino's, Saturn Car Dealership, Sticky Fingers Bakery, Wal-Mart, Flower Factory, bookshops, Sam's Club and Frank's Nursery and Crafts before retiring to care for her mother Janice Eder.
Her job choices reflected her passions as Jenni was known for sewing, crochet, cross stitch, baking, candy and candle making, gardening and woodworking in various forms. Creation was a deep part of her, but everything was always done with the intention of sharing with others. Also an avid reader, she enjoyed entire libraries of books about romance, sci-fi, fantasy and strove to weave these into her creations and was always eager to stoke the imagination.
Family was always important to her and she always put her heart and soul into hosting and preparing for family gatherings. She loved caring for children and emodying the phrase 'it takes a village.' From her daughter and nieces and nephews to later in life being a grandmother figure to children of friends and the neighborhood kids, caring for others had always been a part of her core being.
Her love, kindness and generosity will be what we carry with us and miss dearly from her as we move forward to celebrate and honor her life.
Jenni is survived by her daughter Hannah Eder, her sisters Chris Ekler, Sherri Arbisi and Joni Mathews, her brother-in-law Greg Mathews, nieces and nephews Joshua Phillips and wife Lesley Phillips, Kyle Mathews, Kate Mathews, Olivia Ekler and husband Chris; great-nieces Alexis, Natalie and Thalia, great-great nieces and nephews Everlee, Denver, Emersyn and an unborn niece, dear friends Kae and Sam Rochon and their daughter Ivy, and many, many other beloved family and friends, as well as her beloved fur baby Josie.
She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Janice Eder, brother Leslie Eder, various aunts and uncles and triplet nieces.
“Death is that state in which one exists only in the memory of others... which is why it is not an end. No goodbyes. Just good memories.”
