John Daniel Ryan

RYAN, John Daniel Age 85 of Trotwood, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 8, 1931 to his parents, John H. & Lucia M. (Miles) Ryan who preceded him in death along with his wife of 50 years, Donna M. (Kronenberger) Ryan; father and mother-in-law, Alphones & Loretta Kronenberger; brother and sister in law, Jim and Judy Kronenberger; and brothers-in-law, Al “Nick” Nichols, and William Reck. John is survived by 3 siblings, Patricia Nichols, Nancy Reck, and Robert Ryan; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Ann Imfeld; 6 sons, Dan (Teresa), Michael (Andrea) of Atlanta, GA, Timothy J. (Catherine), John H. (Jodie), Tony (Lori), and Jerry (Terri) Ryan. John is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. John served with the Ohio National Guard during the Korean War. He was a Tool & Die maker for 50 years, retiring from Omega Automation. John was a 49 year member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and lifelong member of Knights of Columbus Marian Council 3754. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time at Indian Lake with family and friends. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Trotwood, Ohio 45426. Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 4961 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45416. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.
