Joseph M. Hosack, Sr.

HOSACK, Joseph M. Sr. Age 70, of Jefferson Township, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 18, 2016, after a short illness, with his family by his side. Joseph was born June 24, 1945 in Dayton, to the late Ralph and Kathryn Hosack. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jerry and Jack. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Debbie; son, Joseph, Jr.; daughter, Vonda; grandchildren, Sierrah, Thomas, and Kyra; great granddaughter, Aunna; sisters, Mary Hatton and Ann Burbick; sisters-in-law, Judy Fields and Linda Tinch; brother-in-law, Jack Holbrook; friends, Greg and Cindy Wilcox, Louis Esken, and Teresa Terosper; best beloved K9 friend, Blondie; and numerous brother and sister firefighters. Joseph was a Volunteer Firefighter for 51 years, starting at Madison Township and ending at Jefferson Township where he earned the rank of Battalion Chief. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Genesis Healthcare- New Lebanon Center and Crossroads Hospice for the care given to Joseph the past few months. The visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23 from 5-8PM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, New Lebanon. The funeral service will begin at 8PM with Pastor Jack Holbrook officiating.
