McPherson, Joy Lee (Miller) Age 52 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. Joy was born in Dayton, Ohio on Nov. 14, 1964 to her parents, Jackie “Butch” Coffee & Vernene Carol Webb She was preceded in death by, Herman Stezel Webb (Papaw Red) and Carolyn Nadine Tanner (Nanny) Joy is survived by both her parents Butch and Vernene, and step parents Johnny Cummins Jr. and Rebecca Cummins; her loving husband of 32 years, Steven Dale McPherson (married 10/05/1984); four children: son, Steven McPherson, daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Paul Johnson, son, Levi McPherson, and daughter, Rylee Boulerice; Three siblings, Kelly Ann Espy (Hope Lee), Jeanene Lillian Rice (Cummins), and John Daniel Cummins III. Joy especially enjoyed being a Nana. She held a special place in her heart for each of her four grandchildren, Caleb “Pooter Bug”, Isaac “Hubba Bubba”, Ethan “Freckles”, and Farrah “Little Princess”. Joy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Nana. She spent her time living life to the fullest with her partner in crime (Steve). With her free spirit, and hippie nature, she was content with the little things in life. If you were to ask Joy what her greatest life accomplishment was, I'm sure she would've said being a Nana. As a Nana, Joy spent every moment she could making memories. It was her love and great devotion to her family that helped her through her long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Joy leaves behind the greatest gift to her family, and that is the memories of her laughter, the comfort of her wisdom, and the peace of mind that we will be together once again. A special thanks to Robert and Diane Vann. Visitation will be held from 1-3 PM on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016 at Rogers Funeral Home, 324 West Main St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345.
