LOOKER, Judith Louise age 83, of Eaton, Ohio, formerly of West Alexandria, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on June 27, 1938 to Wilson and Ruth Thieman. Judith was preceded in death by her parents Wilson and Ruth Thieman and her husband of 59 years, Larry Noel Looker. She is survived by three daughters, Laurie (Sam) Denny, New Lebanon, Ohio, Beth (Ed) Slaman, Tampa, Florida and Jennifer (Doug) Combs, West Alexandria, Ohio. Five grandchildren, Natalie (Ahmahrd) Coleman, Alex (Brittany) Denny, Tyler Moberly (Tina), Jordan (Tracy) Combs and Kacie (Michael) Randolph. Seven great grandchildren, Harper Ann Henderson, Bryce Noel Denny, Larkin May Denny, River Alexander Denny, Ansley Grey Coleman, Beau Samuel Denny, Ari Grace Coleman and eighth great grandchild, baby Randolph, expected in July. Also, one brother, Tom (Kathy) Thieman, New Bremen, Ohio, brothers-in-law Tim Looker, Florida and Jack Looker, California, many nieces, nephews, caring neighbors, loving friends and her beloved dog Sandy. Judith was a 1956 graduate of New Bremen High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University in 1960. She was a retired school teacher where she first taught at Waynesfield-Goshen, next at Wayne Trails Maumee and finished her teaching career at West Alexandria Elementary where she taught for 25 years, retiring in 1993. Judith was an active member of St. John Church of Christ in West Alexandria, Ohio. She was a life member of the Preble County Retired Teachers Assoc. and the Ohio Retired Teachers Assoc. She was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha and Alpha Kappa Sorority. Visitation for Judith will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. John Church of Christ, 20 East South Street, West Alexandria, Ohio. The funeral service will be the following day, Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11 a.m., with the family to receive guests an hour prior. Pastor Mearl Hodges officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio. Rogers’ Funeral Homes in New Lebanon, Ohio is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Church or Preble County Humane Society, Eaton, Ohio.
