HAMBLETT, Karen Sue Age 74 of Union, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 31st, 2021. She was born in New Lebanon, Ohio on April 12, 1946 to her parents, Arthur L. & Virginia L. (Ward) Erisman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Eleanor Hamblett; nephew, Paul Orebaugh, Jr. Karen is survived by her husband of 35 years, James Hamblett; 3 children, Michael L. (Stephanie) Perkins, Sr., Lance M. Perkins, Sr., and Jamie N. (Trevor) Bosmans; 4 grandchildren, Michael Jr., Lance Jr., and Eisley & Sadie Bosmans; sisters-in-law, Roberta (Dick) Geiger, and Pat (Chuck) Dorney; uncle-in-law, Robert Pinkerton; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members; and her loving “Dumpster Dog” and companion, Remke. Karen graduated from Dixie High School. She worked for Sears in sales and retired after 20 years. Karen was a member of the Northmont Band Boosters while her daughter, Jamie, was in High School and assistant Girl Scout leader. Karen was also a longtime member of Corinth Presbyterian Church in Dayton where she was a Deacon, an Elder, taught Sunday School, and also served on the Christian Education Committee where she organized many church events. Her passions were gardening, floral arranging, walking on the beach in search of seashells, spending time with her grandkids, and visiting Walt Disney World. Karen loved her family dearly and treasured all of the memories they made together. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 at Holp Cemetery in Farmersville, Ohio.
