With a heart full of cherished memories, we announce the passing of Kenneth G. Curtis, known affectionately to friends and family as Ken, on August 4, 2024. Born on March 10, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, Ken was a lifelong resident and a beloved figure in his community. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many, embodying the virtues of kindness and thoughtfulness in all his actions.Ken attended Dixie High School, where he laid the groundwork for his future endeavors. He took great pride in his work as an HVAC Technician, a career that spanned several decades and earned him an Outstanding Achievement Award for his dedicated service and expert craftsmanship. Ken's work ethic and his ability to fix anything with moving parts were legendary. His colleagues respected him not only for his skills but also for his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.Family was the cornerstone of Ken's life.


He shared 68 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Janet (Fritz) Curtis, whose love and support were his greatest treasures. Together, they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect. Ken was a guiding light to his children—Jeffrey Curtis and his wife Sheila, Cynthia (Curtis) Holoviak, and Tim Curtis and his wife Doris. His wisdom, patience, and handyman tips will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by each of them. Ken's role as a grandfather to Sondra Lynn (Curtis) DeMoss and as a great-grandfather to Dallas DeMoss was one he cherished with joy and pride.



His influence will live on through the generations. Outside of work and family, Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He found solace and excitement in fishing, hiking, and sailing—pastimes that allowed him to appreciate the beauty of nature and the thrill of adventure. His hands were rarely still, as he enjoyed tinkering on small appliances and toys, a testament to his ever-curious mind. Ken also had a penchant for working picture puzzles, a hobby that reflected his methodical and patient nature. Those who knew Ken can attest to his handy and resourceful nature. There was no challenge too great or task too small for him to tackle. He approached life with a kind and thoughtful demeanor that made everyone around him feel valued and heard. Ken's presence was a source of comfort and stability, and his legacy is one of unwavering love and enduring friendship.
