LANDIS, Kenneth G.

Age 90 of New Lebanon, Ohio went to be with his Lord at 5pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in Miami Valley Hospital. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Myrtle (Bitner) Landis; brothers Carl and Darrel; sisters Catherine and Juanita, and many aunts and uncles.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Janice (Shade) Landis; brother Noel and Donna Landis and sister Marlene (Landis) Cunningham; two sons, Kent Landis and Keith and Laura (Rike) Landis; two grandchildren Cory and Chara (Allen) Landis and Tyler and Michelle (Emerick) Landis; two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

He worked for Ohio Bell & AT&T and retired after 35 years. Ken graduated from Dixie High School in 1951. He loved sports and played many years of church and league softball, and far into his 80’s, senior softball. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, cutting down trees and splitting wood, mowing and gardening. He loved his Lord, his family, friends and church and was a longtime member of Brookville Grace Brethren Church and served in many capacities. Later he was a member at C.S.G. in Tipp City for 17 years.

Visitation is from 10am-12pm with funeral service to begin at 12:00pm all at C.S.G. Church in Tipp City on Friday, January 19, 2024. A private graveside service will be later in the afternoon at Bear Creek Cemetery for family only.
