Puterbaugh, Kenneth Ronald “Ron”

Age 80, of New Lebanon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Paul Puterbaugh and mother Mary (Chockey) Puterbaugh.

Ron is survived by his soulmate and wife of almost 60 years, Geraldine (Smith) Puterbaugh, son Kenneth Chris (Teresa) Puterbaugh, daughter Kelly (Brett) Luebke, sister Maribeth (Ron) Smith, brother Bob Puterbaugh, brother John (Debbie) Puterbaugh, granddaughters Sarah, Molly and Megan Luebke, and Mary Ella Kate, Julia and Gabrielle Puterbaugh.

Ron was a general contractor. He could build and fix just about anything. He enjoyed reading, running, camping but mostly, rock climbing. Ron and Geri spent a year on the road rock climbing and exploring the country. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a proud American. He loved his family and had amazing friends. He and Geri had a relationship unlike any other. They were true soulmates, 15 and 17 years old when they met. Ron will be missed tremendously. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton in Ron’s memory.

A Memorial visitation will be held from 11am-1pm with service to begin at 1:00pm on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Condolences may be expressed online at:
