Kent "Bo" Bobo

BOBO, Kent “Bo” of Vandalia, went home to his Heavenly Father Friday January 13, 2017. Bo was born March 1, 1934 in Dayton to the late John E. and Bernadine (Salts) Bobo. He was preceded in death by his parents, and great grandson, Jaxxen Baker. Bo is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Diane (Burns) Bobo, children, Kelley (Tom) Parker and Scott Bobo; stepsons, Jack (Teena) Sells and Gary (Barbara) Sells; grandchildren, Cassie Spitzer and Jessie Spitzer; step-grandchildren, Damian (Aubrey) Sells and Desiree (Eric Ditmer) Sells; great grandchildren, Kaden, Falyn, Stella, Archer, and Bladyn; brother, Neal; nieces, Ronda Wolff and Kenda Schuette, and numerous family and special friends. After graduating from Northridge High School, Class of 1952, Bo received his Bachelor’s degree from Wilmington College and Master’s degree in counseling from Xavier University. He retired from Trotwood-Madison High School after 35 years of service. He taught his first 2 years prior to Trotwood in Southern Ohio. Bo was inducted into the Trotwood Hall of Fame for his renowned success as head coach with the TM High School basketball program. He will be remembered as a beloved counselor, coach, teacher and friend, as well as for his easy going and kind demeanor, his positive support, and ever present smile. Bo was a great teller of stories and an entertaining speaker. An avid golfer, Bo spent many years, following retirement, managing Larch Tree Golf Course in Trotwood, OH, then Mosscreek Golf Club in Clayton, OH where he made many friends. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Vandalia, 140 Elva Ct., Vandalia, Ohio 45377 with the service beginning at 1:00 pm followed by visitation until 5:00 pm.
