COMER, Kermit D. Age 96, went to be with our Lord at 7:35PM January 29, 2013. He was born August 11, 1916, lifetime resident of New Lebanon. Kermit was a member of the New Lebanon Brethren Church all his life. He served his country in WWII as a Communications Chief in the San Francisco Bay area protecting our home front. He married Emma Elizabeth Gearhart in Reno, NV in 1942 who preceded him in death May 6, 2000. Kermit was co-founder of the FAST Club (Flying Aerial Sports Team) of Brookville and a retiree of General Motors. He is survived by his daughter, Kerma Jeanne Wardlaw and son-in-law, Karl Wardlaw of Brookville, Ohio; granddaughter, Kristina Laudermilk (Bill Laudermilk) of Lewisburg; grandson, Kyle Wardlaw (Holly (Winkler) Wardlaw) of New Lebanon; great-grandsons, Jordon Long and Zecharich Wardlaw; and great-granddaughter, Emma Wardlaw. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM on Friday, February 1 at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon 45345. The Funeral Service will be at 10:30AM at the New Lebanon Brethren Church, 32 S. Church St., New Lebanon with Pastor Bill Walk officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Kermit to Vitas Hospice.
