Larry A. Boehmer, born on December 15, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home in Brookville, Ohio, on Sunday, December 28, 2025. He was 86 years old.
Larry enjoyed a successful career as a project manager, retiring at the age of 55 from the Miamisburg Mound. His dedication to his work was matched by his commitment to his country, as he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.
In his personal life, Larry was a multifaceted individual with a variety of interests and hobbies. He was an avid tennis player and a passionate fan of Indy car racing. Larry had a thirst for knowledge, often seeking to learn new things and educate himself. His love for craftsmanship was evident in his woodworking skills; he not only designed and built three of his own homes but also constructed his own airplane.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Myrna Boehmer, their daughter Rhonda and her husband Casey Foreman, granddaughter Kelsey Foreman, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Boehmer, and son Kirt Boehmer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Home, 324 W Main St, New Lebanon, Ohio 45345. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
