Laveta Rae Blosser

BLOSSER, Laveta Rae Age 59, of New Lebanon, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, David Mumpower; grandmother, Kathleen Lakes; grandfather, Jay Lakes; grandmother, Erma Mumpower; great-grandmother, Goldie Hook; and aunt, Charlene Kurrek. Laveta is survived by her loving husband, Mark Blosser; sons, Brian (McKenzie) Blosser, Tony (Rianna) Blosser; daughter, Kathleen Blosser; mother, Patricia Dunlavey; sisters, Jackie (Jim) Hamilton, and Tish Vires; also, grandchildren, Brian, Colton, Rayna, Leland, and Hailey. Laveta was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to everyone. During her 14+ years as a receptionist/dispatcher at the Montgomery County Engineers Office, she touched many lives. She was a kind and selfless woman who always put others before herself. Laveta loved her family more than anything. She also loved camping, fishing, boating, and being near the water. She was happiest outdoors. Laveta enjoyed singing karaoke and playing cards while surrounded by friends and loved ones. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Monday, Dec. 5 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016 also at the funeral home. Pastor Gene Oburn officiating. Interment will follow at Trissel Cemetery.
