Lee Roy Mullins Jr. On February 19th, 2020 Lee Roy Mullins Jr. left this earth to begin his heavenly journey. Lee Roy was born on January 9th, 1956 in Dayton Ohio to Lee Roy Mullins Sr. and Delores Elaine Baumgardner Mullins. Lee Roy (Butchie, JR) was such a strong willed and incredibly talented man and he did not let the disabilities he lived with restrict him. He had an amazing perspective in life and he shared that with everyone around him. He loved when children would stop and say hello to him and he loved to go on walks and outings. As a child he loved to play with his little brothers and sister. Through a lot of hard work and diligence he earned his GED when he was 25 years old. His life was changed forever when he received his communication device that gave him so much independence and freedom. Through this he was able to write letters, turn on the TV, DVD player or stereo system, control the lights, skype, facebook and email people whenever he wanted. With this independence he decided to move from Michigan to Utah. In Utah he learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ and made the choice to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2008 Lee Roy was most proud to receive his Temple recommend and receive his endowment at the Jordan River Temple. In 2009 he was ordained to the office of a High Priest. Lee Roy is preceded in death by his Father and Grandparents. He is survived by his Mother, Delores, and his siblings Charles (Lonnie), Randolph and Melissa Mullins D&C 58: 3-4 Ye cannot behold with your natural eyes, for the present time, the design of your God concerning those things which shall come hereafter, and the glory which shall follow after much tribulation. For after much tribulation come the blessings. Wherefore the day cometh that ye shall be crowned with much glory; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand. “Family is like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions but our roots remain the same” “Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine and moon tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much, good family and friends, good times, with loved one’s touch.” Lee Roy, you will be remembered always. Your never ending smile, your contagious laughter, your deep love for your Father in Heaven and your Savior Jesus Christ. Your determination in life and your desire to serve those around you. You have touched each of us though your love and example. We are blessed to call you Son, Brother, Uncle and friend. A graveside service will be held 10:30am, Saturday, Feb. 29th at Trissel Cemetery in New Lebanon, Ohio. Entrance is 1 mile south of Rt 35 on Diamond Mill Road.
