Lois A. Spitler, age 92, peacefully passed away in her sleep on 20 December 2024. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She will be truly missed. She graduated from the Johnsville New Lebanon (Dixie) High School in 1950. Married her High School sweetheart Charles Spitler. She was a life-long member of the West Alexandria Church of the Brethren (now Oak Street Brethren Church), bookkeeper for the family business Charles Spitler General Contracting, founding member of the Dixie Pathfinders Camping Club, longtime member of the local Department 56 collectors club, and many other organizations. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, camping, reading and most importantly her children and grandchildren.
Survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Charles Spitler, sons Tom (Debbie) Spitler and David (Barbette) Spitler, grandchildren Chad (Amanda) Spitler, Tricia (Rich) Teller, Ryan (Sarah) Spitler, Jeremy (Misty) Spitler, Kimberly (Jon) Troehler, Britton (Will Haley) Spitler, and Cody Spitler, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces/nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents Roy and Clara Brower, siblings Paul Brower, Evelyn Musselman and Doris Spitler.
Family has requested private family services.
