Louis D. Hall, a dedicated family man and longtime resident of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on April 8, 1935, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, Louis lived a life marked by devotion to his loved ones and a strong work ethic.
He retired from General Motors after an impressive 30-year career, where he was respected for his commitment and professionalism. Beyond his career, Louis found joy in many hobbies, including golfing, fishing, woodworking, guns, and drawing, which brought him peace and satisfaction throughout his life.
Louis was known for his nurturing spirit and unwavering care for his family. He remained a loving and supportive father until the very end, cherishing every moment with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his four children: Debra Ruxer, Sandra (Bill) Dunlevy, David R. Hall, and Jeff (Michelle) Hall. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Idella Hall; loving wife, Luella; brother, John; two sisters, Wanda and Dixie; and a special nephew, Larry Todd.
Visitation will be held from 11am-12pm with funeral service to begin at 12:00pm on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Burial will follow at Trissel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Louis. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
